A big part of our work

Bergen County is where RJ Construction does a large share of its roofing and siding, and where many of our larger whole-exterior projects are. It is also where homeowners search hardest for a roofer: roof repair and roof replacement searches naming Bergen County and its towns outnumber those for most of the rest of North Jersey. From our base in the City of Orange, the southern and central Bergen towns are a straight run up the Garden State Parkway or Route 17.

• Large center-hall colonials and Tudors in Ridgewood, Teaneck, Glen Rock and the older parts of Hackensack and Englewood: big roofs, steep pitches, slate or heavy shingles on the oldest ones, and chimneys that need flashing work.
• Post-war ranches and split-levels across Paramus, Fair Lawn, River Edge and Oradell, with long, lower-pitch roofs where attic ventilation is often the weak point.
• Two-families and garden apartments in Hackensack, Garfield, Lodi and Cliffside Park, with low-slope sections and multi-unit roofs covered under commercial roofing.

By far the most common request is roof repair, usually a leak after a storm, followed by full roof replacement. Bergen County also searches for replacement windows more than any other county we serve, and siding projects here are often done together with a new roof.
